The High Fives Non-Profit Foundation (Truckee, CA), recently completed the third chapter in what is known as ‘The Landon Project.’ A 16 year old skier and downhill mountain biker from Quesnel, British Columbia, Landon was involved in a mountain biking accident which left the young athlete paralyzed from the waist down due to a T-5 spinal injury on July 4, 2010.

The High Fives Non-Profit Foundation’s trip to Brandon, Mississippi from Sept. 6-11, 2011 ended with a little hang time as adaptive athlete superstar Landon McGauley hit the water ramp jump. With a prime viewing area right next to the landing zone next to a few rock crawlers and SUV’s, the rest of the crew cheered on Landon as he took turns getting towed into the jump with the coaching assistance of Bill Bowness of Unlimited Skiing.

Stay tuned for more updates on Landon and his progress towards making the Canadian Paralympic Ski Team.
